Hi! My name is Yanely and I love helping people make informed money choices!
Here’s my money story: I grew up in a very large family (9 siblings!) with very little money, but I worked really hard in school. (Yeah, I was a nerd - so what!?) I had the opportunity to attend college on a full scholarship, but still managed to graduate with thousands of dollars in credit card debt! When I became a full-time teacher, I realized what a financial mess I put myself in and decided to change my life.
Today, I’m 100% debt-free, I’ve got excellent credit (800+ club - AYY!), an emergency fund, retirement savings & stock investments. I’m happier than ever before and want to share my story with YOU so you can join me on this wealth building journey!

I wanted to learn how the nen abality worked lol
You can use cash advance to your advantage. Use the cash to pay towards your loan principals. But I get the cash advance from the bank which is Capital One Bank. Yes they do charge a fee upfront. But the fee is not high to me. Loans are worst that Lines of credits. Just saying. It's working for me
Thank you so much for help clarifying the concept of Compounding and how it works when you don’t earn interest in Stock market .
I’ve had a credit card and i’ve paid the minimum fee over the past year monthly. The interest rate just is now 29% , if i pay it off in full , will it still charge me the 29% ?
About to setup Second credit card from a 500 lim to a 6000 as have now got a new job making 1,200 monthly. I’m looking to make a purchase of 4500.. 0% for 12 months and 29%apr I’m about to do it now.. just checking that’s all fair correct ?
Step 1. Tell them no. The End.
if we are holding stock is it outo compunding
How do you make a custodial account
I think if you have extra money already intended to use for something then it’s true you don’t have it. It isn’t lying if you say you don’t have it to spare. I never tell family how much money I have I just say no bc they gonna ask anyway whether I have it or not.
Stopping by to show Yanely some love. Bought your book at launch. You helped me change my mindset around. I now have a HYA with Discover w $12,000 stacking. 401K is on aggressive mode w company match. Got 2 credit cards working FOR me w NO balances carried over each month.. and credit score is over 720 now. Also, though, I'm a little conflicted about this because it isn't fair, but Biden Admin just forgave my $14,000 Barber School loan 2 weeks ago ( Ive been paying it down since graduation ). Life is good now a days. Thank you.
Great info Yanely! Definitely, going to work on putting my money in a more higher yield account.
You gave me the idea to do a mid year review, I definitely needed to plan stuff and re-analyze my budget, thank you!
Let's Go! She is back.
one of the OG finlit youtubers
Thanks for the update..... Savings, 529, 401k, 403b.... 🙌
Wow, I remember you came to my online class on zoom in QSI around 3 years ago, been awhile since you posted!
Oh my god where have you been.
Whoa! What a sweet surprise to begin the week. Welcome back, Yanely!
If the bank don’t trust to loan them money that’s proof you don’t either
Never loan money. You are not a bank 🏦
Don’t ever give anything away that you can’t afford to lose.
I applied for a credit card with capital one never used it I didn’t even activated it now my credit score is at 747😅
Pretty 😍 self
Seven is probably optimum. Just like a cross-country team: 5 scorers and 2 displacers.
It's okay to close a card you've only had 2 years if the bank is holding you back (Capital One...cough cough) and your average account age for all your accounts is greater than 2 years. If you're oldest account is 15 years and your average age is 5 years, you'll get a little FICO boost closing an account that's 2 years old. And maybe Capital One will learn something...you're not playing around 😂😂 Note: My example refers to myself, and I dropped my total accounts from 18 to 17, with an average combined balances less than $500 monthly.
Probably three banks' cards are most helpful for building credit: Chase - They report when a card is paid off mid cycle, as well as on the statement date. AMX - AMX sees the exact details of what you are charging, so they know you very well, much better than the credit bureaus who are just guessing. Discover - Same reason as AMX.
Got a sub and a like great video
I just got my credit card still waiting for it in the mail but it says ( my due date is July3 and that they’ll let me know my minimum on June 8 ) my credit limit rn is 300 I only plan to use 10% if that’s the case can I just pay in full on the due date with out having to worry about the statement date . My utilization would be low plus I would pay on time . Would that be all I have to be concerned of I know if I use more I should try and pay it down for it to be reported less but it’s just hella confusing .
Great information… thanks
I notice when banks talk about overdraft protection on tv commercials, they use black people. When they show responsible people financing life changing things, they use white people or the black woman is sitting quietly while the white husband handles everything. But then when its a white wife with a black man, the black man is irresponsible while the white wife handles it all A lot of that may or may not be true in some cases but damn, these commercials don't even try to hide their racist views
If you were running for president I’D vote for you 100%. We need more amazing females like MissBeHelpful!!
something about an ambitious woman...
Oh Hunny I learned the hard way I racked up a WHOPPING $400 because I did not understand what overdraft meant! I learned my lesson and I opted out of it!
You are soooooo intelligent. I have watched so many finance UA-camrs, but none hit this info with a direct bullseye like you just did!!! Great job.
Do you still have accounts (2024) at and recommend these banks?
Thank you

You're so gorgeous kiss❤
Might be 7 years ago but you could still get it!!!!!!
Taking out another credit card to raise your credit score? No--for most people you're just setting yourself up for trouble. No one needs 5 credit cards. No wonder Americans have more debt than other countries.
since nobody else did this for the hs students doing the 10.5 packet here: a) general investing/ pay your taxes now. b) waiting later to pay taxes later, leaving money in an account. think 401k, 403b, traditional ira. c) put money in an account to grow for 5 years, you can take out the original money but not the growth. all taxes already paid 2: a i guess 3: taxes are paid and you can take money out after 5 years with no penalty
Your energy is amazing. I just happened to see your video because I was looking for info on taking a cash advance. So, for those two reasons I appreciate this video. Good job
❤ what if you pay back immediately
Tell Hollywood and the state of California to stop being mean to people with oddities or no tax income for you.
Great black dress miss Beautiful 😍
So simplified and SUPER helpful thank you
Citibank never reports to TransUnion. Citibank is INEPT and often fails to report monthly balances to Equifax. Their laziness can cause credit scores to drop. Shame!!!!
